City Completes Fire Battalion Chief Promotional Testing Process

The Fire and Human Resources Departments are pleased to announce the successful completion of the 2021-2024 Fire Battalion Chief Promotional Testing Process. In conjunction with the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association, both departments worked together to implement testing processes that met COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Three fire captain candidates successful completed all components of the promotional testing and two captain candidates completed some of the required components. All five captain candidates have been placed on the 2021-2024 Fire Battalion Chief Promotional Testing Process Eligibility list, in high test score rank order, to be considered when Fire Battalion Chief vacancies occur in the department.
