Kenny Chesney has been around for a few years and knows what it takes to bring a great show on tour, and is making a stop at Champaign's State Farm Center Friday, April 5. The tour has a final date on May 24th in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.

Chesney is a self-taught guitarist and singer who has recorded 20 albums, with 14 of these reaching gold on the charts. He’s had over 40 singles on the Billboard Magazine’s chart of Hot Country Songs. Having sold over 30 million albums, Chesney is one of the most successful and consistent touring artists. He’s toured extensively through the years, and now 2019 is calling him back to the stage with his “Songs for the Saints” tour.

The tour comes on the heels of the release of Chesney’s latest album, “Songs for the Saints”. This is an album that was inspired by hurricane Irma, with songs about hope and rebuilding.

About the album Chesney says, “This is not a literal record. But it is an album about the refuges we all have, how temporary life is and the way we navigate to better places, dig in and face the destruction." Expect to hear at least one or two songs from the album when Chesney gets on stage.
