19-Year-Old Dolton Woman Killed in Crash on Dan Ryan Expressway

DOLTON, IL— Breana Fizer, 19, of Dolton has been identified by the Cook County medical examiner's office as the woman killed in a crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway Sunday morning.

Fizer was killed in the multi-vehicle crash near 83rd street when a black Chrysler rear-ended her Kia, according to state police. The young woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other passengers in the Chrysler, a 28-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, were taken to local hospitals and are listed in serious condition. A third passenger in the Chrysler had no injuries reported.

State police said in a news release that charges are pending investigation and that it is not yet confirmed who was driving the other vehicle.

Investigation into the incident closed northbound lanes on the Dan Ryan Expressway for nearly five hours, but are reopened now.
