Aldi, CVS: New Year’s 2020 Grocery Store Hours In Chicago Heights

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — While New Year’s Day doesn’t carry the typical culinary fanfare often boasted by Thanksgiving and Christmas, many people might be going the extra mile this year to say goodbye to 2020 and ring in what they hope will be a better year to come.

Whether you’re planning a big Zoom soiree with friends and need extra orange juice for mimosas, or throwing together a tasty New Year’s Day lunch with the family, most grocery stores in Chicago Heights will be open for the ingredients and snacks you may have forgotten.

Here are the New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day hours for the grocery stores in and around our town:

ALDI: Most locations will operate on reduced hours Dec. 31 and will close New Year’s Day. Call ahead to confirm hours. 527 W. 14th St., Chicago Heights.

Jewel-Osco: Jewel will close at 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and be open for normal store hours on New Year's Day. 3220 Chicago Road, S. Chicago Heights.

Walt's: Open normal store hours both days. 2345 183rd St, Homewood.

Meijer: Store locations will have regular store hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. 3800 Vollmer Road, Flossmoor.

CVS: Open regular hours New Year’s Day, but some stores may have reduced hours. Call ahead to confirm hours. 11 E. 14th St, Chicago Heights.

Target: Open regular hours Dec. 31 and New Year’s Day. 17605 Halsted St., Homewood.

Walgreens: Open New Year’s Day, though hours will vary by location. Call ahead to confirm hours.
