Marian Catholic Women’s Lacrosse Plays Monday for LUPUS Awareness

On Monday, April 30th at 5:30 p.m., the Women’s Lacrosse team will sponsor their home game to support Lupus, an autoimmune disorder that attacks its victim’s immune system.

For the event, the team has designed and sold t-shirts in white and purple, the color of the lupus support ribbon. All profits will be donated to a local organization for research and study of the disorder.

This charitable event hits close to home for many girls on the team who have family members suffering from Lupus. Additionally, a Dominican Sister at Marian has made a special place in each of the seniors’ hearts by sharing her battle against Lupus while on a Marian Kairos retreat.
