Bloom High School To Hold Vaccine Clinic For Community Interested

The clinic will take place on May 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the McCann Gymnasium.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL —Bloom High School will hold a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Friday, for students who are interested in receiving it. The event is being held in partnership with Jewel-Osco Pharmacy and will offer the — recently approved for children ages 12 and older — Pfizer shot.

Bloom asks that those interested in participating arrive to their appointments 15 minutes early. Walk-ins are welcome until 12:30 p.m. The clinic is only offering a first dose, and anyone who registers for the clinic will automatically be registered for a second shot on June 21, at the same time as the initial appointment.

All Illinois populations can receive the vaccine, regardless of insurance coverage, immigration status and those who are undocumented.

Signed parent or guardian consent is needed prior to a minor receiving the vaccine. Consent forms will be available on site.
