Bloom Trail students score major scholarships.

This year has been a challenge for all students. Bloom Trail High School seniors have proven that nothing is impossible with the goals they’ve accomplished as the year ends.

The seniors of Bloom Trail are fighting to end the year in the best way they can. With the assistance of the steadfast Counseling Department, students are earning acceptance into colleges all around America with outstanding amounts of merit-based scholarship money.

Elexus Lopez earned admission to the reputable New York University’s School of Nursing with a $70,000 per year scholarship. Alex Jones has acquired a full-ride scholarship to Greenville University. James Jones was accepted into the school of his dreams, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in L.A. Finally, Bella Mensing, a finalist for the cutthroat QuestBridge Scholarship, has a chance to earn a full-ride at her choice of Northwestern University, Washington University, or the University of Chicago. Since the shutdown, due to the pandemic, the Counseling Department has been working tirelessly to support their students in all of their efforts towards their postsecondary planning. They make an effort to meet with each of their students weekly, post YouTube videos about the planning process, host college and financial aid nights, and have set up a Google Classroom loaded with links and resources to assist these students. Whether they’re off to college, career, or military, the Counselors are there.
