Chicago Heights District 170 Back To School Guide 2019
It's back-to-school time for District 170 kids, and we've got the tools, dates and info you need to start the year off right.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — The kids go back to school sooner than you think: August 26 for first through eight grades, and September 3 for wee kindergartners. Patch has your back to help you prepare to get them all back to class on the right foot.
New registration information
- You can now register online at www.teacherease.com
- Prefer to do it in person?
- Do it Mon., Aug. 12, from 12 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
- Or Tues., Aug. 13, from 8 to 11 a.m. and 12 to 2 p.m.
Proof of residency
Proof of residency is offered by appointment only, and you can knock out registration early, to boot. There are a few days left this week through Aug. 1.

- Last day of school: June 3
- Labor Day: Sept. 2
- Columbus Day: Oct. 14
- 11 a.m. dismissal: Oct. 22
- Veteran's Day: Nov. 11
- Thanksgiving: Early dismissal on Nov. 27, off Nov. 28 to 29
- Winter break: Dec. 23 to Jan. 3, 2020. Early dismissal Dec. 20.
