(Chicago Heights, IL) –A long-time Chicago Heights-based commercial construction general contractor has relaunched its business in the city with a new, rehabbed building thanks to a tax incentive program facilitated by the Chicago Heights Economic Development Corporation.

Complete Construction Resources, Inc., which has been located in Chicago Heights for 14-years, opened its new facility at 450 Dixie Highway on August 16 with the help of a property tax incentive program authorized by Cook County that may shave as much as $200,000 off the firm’s tax bill over the next 10-years, according Chicago Heights Mayor David Gonzalez.

“For 14-years, Complete Construction Resources has been a Chicago Heights success story and I want to ensure that the business remains a success story for at least another 14-years and that it remains part of Chicago Heights’ growing light-industrial economic base,” said Gonzalez. “That’s why the Chicago Heights Economic Development Corporation worked with Complete Construction Resources to access the tax incentive reserved for businesses that invest in economically challenged zones.”

Complete Construction Resources, which invested $100,000 up front in rehabbing the building that previously housed a flower store, accessed a Class 8 real estate tax incentive program, established by Cook County’s “Real Property Assessment Classification Ordinance,” that is designed to encourage industrial and commercial development in areas of the County which are experiencing economic stagnation. Bloom township, where the rehabbed property is relocated, is authorized to participate in the county’s incentive program.

Nine jobs retained.
