Chicago Heights Man Killed In Car Crash On Dan Ryan: Reports
Police said the man and a 17-year-old died after crashing into a sign pole, flipping over and stopping on the median, according to reports.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — A 35-year-old Chicago Heights man and a 17-year-old are both dead after a crash on the Dan Ryan late Tuesday night, Illinois State Police said, according to CBS News. A 16-year-old is also seriously hurt.
Police said the crash happened around 11 p.m., when the Chicago Heights man, driving a black 2018 Chrysler, lost control of his car, crashing into a concrete barrier, hitting a pole and stopping on top of the median in the southbound lanes of the expressway, near 63rd Street.
According to ABC7 reports, both people killed in the crash were transported to St. Bernard Hospital, and later confirmed to be dead. The teenagers were from Sauk Village, and the southbound express lanes were closed for six hours while an investigation occurred. The lanes were reopened after 5:30 this morning.
