Citywide Clean-up Day to be Held June 8

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., for Chicago Heights' City-Wide Volunteer Clean Up Day. Volunteers will meet at City Hall and then work for several hours to beautify the city.

Chicago Heights is calling for volunteers to help give the city a little pick-me-up during its Citywide Clean-Up Day. The event, which takes place June 8, will kick off at City Hall, 1601 Chicago Road, and will have residents working hand-in-hand with each other to clean up the city.

During the event, which takes place from 9 a.m. To 1 p.m., volunteers will work with city workers and officials to help beautify the city. The event is sponsored by Mayor David Gonzales, Clerk Lori Wilcox, Treasurer Jim Dee and the city council.
