Date Set For 'Warrior Wrestling 2' At Marian Catholic

Marian Catholic is set to host its second professional wrestling event of the year.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL – A second "Warrior Wrestling" event is planned for Marian Catholic High School this year. Professional wrestling stars from around the world will be in Chicago Heights for "Warrior Wrestling 2" on Sunday, Sept. 2. Just like the first Warrior Wrestling event held at the school in May, this one will also serve as a fundraiser for scholarships for students and support the surrounding community.

International superstar Rey Mysterio will headline the event, according to a news release from Marian Catholic Principal Steve Tortorello. The night will also mark the first-ever War of Attrition Match, a brand-new type of wrestling match that has never been done before in WWE or any other company.

Eight wrestling superstars – Mysterio, Austin Aries, Pentagon, Fenix, Rich Swann, Brian Cage, Jeff Cobb and Sammy Guevara – will take part in the main match. Seven other wrestling matches with elite men and women from wrestling’s biggest organization, including WWE and Impact Wrestling, are also on the schedule for the night.
