A knocked over streetlight at the intersection of Chicago Road and Rte. 30 barely missed hitting the Our Lady of the Wayside statue outside the north end of St. James Hospital sometime Thursday afternoon.
While the statue was spared, the pole put a significant bend in an exit door hand railing.
Crews were on the scene assessing the damage around 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon
