Largest Southland Pete's Fresh Market Opens In Matteson
Pete's Fresh Market opened in Matteson on Wednesday. This is the largest location the family owned business has opened to date.

MATTESON, IL — Pete's Fresh Market Opened its largest location to date on Wednesday in Matteson. The location comes as the family owned chain expands to various locations across suburban Chicagoland.
Pete's Fresh Market is a family-owned and operated grocery store that provides fresh produce, groceries and imports, including international, gluten-free and organic products. Each location has a full-service kitchen, bakery and deli. The independent chain currently operates 16 different locations around the Chicagoland area.
Pete's Fresh Market in Matteson is now located at 4233 Lincoln Highway, and it is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. This location features a juice bar, organic foods, salad bar, taqueria, fresh baked pizza, smokehouse, sushi, Asian fusion station and much more.

"We've tried many locations and this was the one that [we think will be] the new center of the town," said Stephanie Dremonas, owner of Pete's. "I think [this is] a great partnership and we're proud to be the spark to ignite the Southside again. We're ready to open and show you guys all the work that we've done."

Pete's is also planning to open other suburban locations within the next few years. Orland Park recently said goodbye to Art Van Furniture, formerly located at 15080 S. LaGrange Road, and Pete's will be taking its place. In Tinley Park, the former Kmart located at 16300 Harlem Ave., was approved to be transformed into a warehouse and distribution center for Pete's Fresh Market. A new Pete's grocery store will be built in the same plaza, adjacent to the warehouse.
