Longtime Steger Police Chief Dies

STEGER, IL — Richard Stultz, who served as the police chief in Steger for 18 years, has died. He was 80.

Stultz was the Steger police chief from 1995 to 2013 and prior to that served in law enforcement as a captain for the Chicago Heights Police Department.

Services for Stultz are handled by the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home in Homewood, where Stultz lived before his death. A memorial service will be planned for a later date, the funeral home said.
