Missing Calumet City Man Located: UPDATE
Thomas Tate, 59, of Calumet City, was located in southern Illinois. He is safe, family is making arrangements to bring him home.
CALUMET CITY, IL — UPDATE. Thomas Tate has been located in southern Illinois. He is safe and his family is making arrangements to bring him home.
Calumet City police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 59-year-old man with early onset dementia. Thomas Tate due to arrive at a relative’s house on the South Side but never arrived.
Thomas was last seen Wednesday driving a blue 2020 Acura TLX similar to the one depicted here. The vehicle has an Illinois license plate of BN85877.

He is Black with a medium complexion, 6-feet-5-inches tall, 245 pounds and bald. His family said he left his home in the 400 block of Campbell Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Thomas was on his way to visit relatives in the 9200 block of South University Avenue in Chicago. He never arrived, police said. Family members say Thomas suffers from early onset dementia and becomes easily confused when it gets dark outside.
