'Morning Of Remembrance' On Memorial Day In Chicago Heights
Fallen heroes will be remembered during a ceremony at the Veterans Mound on Memorial Day.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Local veterans organizations, Mayor David Gonzalez and the Chicago Heights City Council are planning a “Morning of Remembrance” ceremony to honor the fallen heroes of the United States of America on Memorial Day. The annual Memorial Day ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 28 at the Veterans Mound, which is located at the northwest corner of Lincoln Highway and Chicago Road in Chicago Heights.
If there is inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved across the street to the Chicago Heights Rec Center at 1400 Chicago Road.
