Nursing Home, Franciscan St. James Sued
The administrator of the estate of a patient at Applewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Matteson claims inadequate supervision.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — A Matteson nursing home has been sued on allegations a client experienced pain as a result of having developed pressure sores there. An estate administrator for a patient there filed a lawsuit last month in Cook County Circuit Court naming Applewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Franciscan St. James Health - Chicago Heights, according to an account from the Cook County Record.
Juwan Wilson, the independent administrator of the estate of Jettye Alexander, seeks a judgement of greater than $50,000. Wilson alleges the defendants were responsible for not adequately supervising Alexander to prevent the development of the sores.
