Obituary: Laura Lynn Blair, 58

Laura Lynn Blair died peacefully on June 9, 2020 at Hernando Pasco Hospice Care in New Port Richey, Florida.

Laura would have celebrated her 59th birthday this summer. Far too young to say goodbye to this world. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Dorothy VanHoutegen and a nephew, Mark. She is survived by her children, Jason Blair, Jennifer (Tim) Gorszczyk and Sarah Blair; two sisters, Kim Sarantakos and Kelly Mack, one brother Robert (Nancy) VanHoutegen, seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan Nolan, Autumn, Liam, Madison, Emilia and a large extended family.

Laura graduated from Bloom High School in Chicago Heights and went on to graduate from South Suburban Community College with a paralegal degree. She worked in the real estate field for many years. Several years ago, she moved to Florida from Illinois to be closer to her father, although leaving the cold winter months behind made the move easier.

Abbey Cremation Services is handling arrangements. Private family services will be held.
