CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the South Suburban Humane Society in Chicago Heights remains as a place to go through to adopt your next family member. Since many of the pets at the shelter are being adopted quickly, we are going to shift our focus and highlight a few cats who are currently in foster care and still seeking their forever homes.

This week's Pet of the Week is Balenciaga. She is 12 years young and currently in foster care. Her foster mom says she is very quiet, loves a nice cozy blanket and has a good appetite.

She is a big purr baby. Whenever her foster mom gets near her; she automatically starts purring like crazy. She is not very adventurous, occasionally she and her foster family's resident cat have gone on adventures in the house, usually ending up in a closet. Her preference is staying cozy on her blankets and getting brushed or scratched.
