CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at the South Suburban Humane Society. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Hugo, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

The society said Hugo has been with them for a few months waiting for his forever home. Hugo is good with other dogs and even tested well with cats. He is a little shy upon meeting new people, but once you get to know him, he tries to be a lap dog. He is heartworm positive but treatment is covered with his adoption fee through SSHS.

Hugo is at the humane society's Chicago Heights location at 1103 West End Ave.
