Services Set For Joseph 'Poncho' Townsley Jr.
Services to remember the man many know as "Mr. Lincoln Highway" are set for Feb. 4 and Feb. 5 in Chicago Heights.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Services have been set for Joseph "Poncho" Townsley Jr., known to many in Chicago Heights as "Mr. Lincoln Highway." The Woods Funeral Home has listed the following information.
A visitation will run from 2-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Woods Funeral Home, 1003 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights.
The following day will begin with a wake at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at New Hope Baptist Church, 130 E. 13th St. in Chicago Heights.

The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
Townsley, 64, was hit by a car and killed near Western Avenue and 14th Street in Chicago Heights on Jan. 23. The driver of the car police say struck him has since been charged with aggravated DUI involving death.
