Sister Mary Jo Sobieck Bobblehead Unveiled
A portion of the sales for the new bobblehead will go to Marian Catholic.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Sister Mary Jo Sobieck's fame this week has gone all over the world, and one of the lasting items to mark her time in the spotlight will be a limited edition bobblehead unveiled earlier this week by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. Renderings have been released of the Sister Mary Jo bobblehead, which is already available for pre-order.
The bobblehead is of the Sister's famous ceremonial first pitch made before last Saturday's Chicago White Sox game at Guaranteed Rate Field.
“We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Sister Mary Jo and Marian Catholic to create this awesome bobblehead commemorating her and her amazing first pitch,” said Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “Similar to Sister Jean, Sister Mary Jo should serve as an inspiration with her display of confidence and enthusiasm and this bobblehead will be a great way to celebrate that!”

Sister Mary Jo was chosen by Marian Catholic administrators to throw out the first pitch on "Marian Catholic Night" at the ballpark, which also featured the school's marching band and marked their 60th anniversary.

Five dollars from every Sister Mary Jo bobblehead sold will go to Marian Catholic. They cost $25 and can be purchased here.
This isn't the first time this year the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has made a tribute to a famous Chicago "sports nun." Sklar says more than $17,000 Sister Jean bobbleheads were sold during the Loyola University men's basketball team's run to the Final Four in March.
A few Sister Jean bobbleheads remain available for sale as well.
