A Guide To The Best Holiday Lights Displays In The South Suburbs

Here's a guide to Christmas lights house hunting in the south suburbs of Chicago.

CHICAGO SOUTH SUBURBS -- It's a joyous time of the year, and with that joy comes a spike in creativity. Families across the nation are showing off their fabulous Christmas lights displays and there are plenty of good ones to see in the south suburbs of Chicago. We've gathered a list of the best displays in the area. So warm up the car, plug in the addresses listed below and get going on a mission to hit up your favorites.

- 2708 W. 90th Pl., Evergreen Park

  • March of the Pigs: The display features 117 holiday pigs, a narwhal, a dolphin, a shark, cookie monsters, traditional decorations and thousands of blue LED lights. (Read the back story.)

  • Talking Tree Music Light Show: It’s a beautiful Christmas tree talking, synchronized musical light show. It goes to a radio station the sign outside the house tells you to turn on. There is a Santa in the window that looks like the real deal. It is a Must-see light show and raises money for a pet shelter.

Holiday Music and Light Show:

- 16538 Parkview Ave., Tinley Park

  • The Boat family Christmas Light Spectacular: One man, a U.S. Marine Veteran, does all the work himself and tries to add Christmas spirit to everyone in our neighborhood. Jeremy Boat is his name and lights are his game! Taking donations for Toys for Tots. Watch a news segment on this display below via ABC-7 Chicago.

  • Actors with music from 5-10 p.m. Money will be donated to help the homeless.

BRIDGEVIEW

  • 7807 W. 74th Pl.: Music and lights displays.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS

  • 3332 Lynwood Dr. (South Chicago Heights): Ed Kaminski's Christmas House, Fight Hunger With Lights Food Drive. His house won first place this year in his village.
  • 200 Southgate Ave.
  • 3121 Fairview Ave. (South Chicago Heights): Lights and blowups.

EVERGREEN PARK

  • 2932 W. 99th St.: A bunch of huge inflatables, roof lights, flashing snowflake lights moving on the house, lit up train.
  • 2701 W. 97th St.: A Modest Christmas - Very classy display of lights

FRANKFORT

  • 255 Elm St.

HICKORY HILLS

  • 9028 Forest Ln.: They have it completely synced to music and you can tune in from your car radio.
