Two Residents Honored with President's Volunteer Service Award
Chicago Heights residents Genevieve West and Sharon Kidd-Fryer, both of whom are employees for AT&T Illinois, were recently named recipients of the President's Volunteer Service Award. The duo both volunteered for more than 100 hours last year.

Two Chicago Heights residents are part of a group of more than 200 AT&T Illinois employees who were recently honored for their volunteer work in 2012 with the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Genevieve West and Sharon Kidd-Fryer both were honored with the award after volunteering for more than 100 hours last year.
“This special recognition of AT&T Illinois employees reveals that our people truly are connected to the communities we serve,” said Paul La Schiazza in a press release from AT&T. “Every one of the employees earning this recognition is giving their own time and energy to improve the lives of others. On behalf of AT&T, we thank them for their considerable personal commitment to make a difference in their corner of Illinois.”
"The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period – or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime," according to the award's website.
