Warming Centers Open In Chicago Heights

Five locations in Chicago Heights will be open as warming centers as extreme cold is expected this week.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Several locations in Chicago Heights will be open as warming centers as temperatures are expected to drop to what could be record lows in the Chicagoland area this week. The South Chicago Heights Police Department shared the warming center locations in a post on social media. They are:

  • Bloom Township Center, 425 S. Halsted St.: Mon-Fri: 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
  • Chicago Heights Public Library, 25 W. 15th St.: Mon-Thurs: 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., Fri: 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Sat: 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Sun.: Closed
  • Chicago Heights Police Department, 1601 S. Halsted St.: 24 Hours
  • Golden Towers, 1704 East End Ave.: Mon-Fri: 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunrise Apartments, 1314 Wentworth Ave.: Mon-Fri: 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
