Wiz Kids To Help Bring Fun To Summer 2021

Wiz Kids hopes to bring back traditional summer camp activities following CDC guidelines. Registration for the camp is open through May 21.

HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL — Wiz Kids, an organization that offers summer enrichment programming for south suburban kids is accepting registration for summer 2021. The organization offers all of its programming for children ages 5-13. The camp is open to all children across Chicagoland.

According to the organization, the mission of Wiz Kids is to create environments that give young people an opportunity to have life impacting experiences academically, athletically, socially and emotionally. Now in its twelfth year, Wiz Kids offers track, soccer, tennis, softball and creative arts. Creative arts includes Pyramid Architecture and Robots, and the organization also hosts "Friday Fun Days" which include game shows, pro BMX shows and magic mania.

"Wiz Kids Camps offers an opportunity for children to get out and have fun, play sports and just be kids after so many months of being inside due to the pandemic," the organization said. "Wiz Kids offers a fun, safe, healthy environment."

The camps will follow all CDC health precautions including testing for Covid-19 each day prior to being admitted to camp, according to the organization. In addition to sports, the organization says the camps are aimed to help kids develop as "caring and holistic individuals" who make a difference in their community.

Camps will take place at Homewood-Flossmoor High School starting June 7. Registration to participate will end on May 21. To register go to www.WizKidsCamps.com.

The organization says in addition to the Wiz Kids Day Camp, it will also offer an overnight camp, including a surprise celebrity visit, at the Purdue University Northwest, Hammond Campus.
