Woman, 65, Peddled Cocaine at Senior Housing Development: Cops

Police found a scale and other paraphernalia in her apartment.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — A 65-year-old Chicago Heights woman faces drug charges after police say she sold cocaine from her apartment at a senior housing development.

Audrea Sanders, who lives at Golden Towers Senior Living Center, 1704 East End Ave., is charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance on public housing property, and possession of a controlled substance. Sanders appeared in bond court in Markham Wednesday afternoon. Bail was set at $50,000.

Chicago Heights police arrested Sanders Monday evening after allegedly recovering scales and an undisclosed amount of cocaine during a warrant-based search of her apartment at the public housing property operated by the Housing Authority of Cook County, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Her next court date is set for Dec. 5.
