Woman Carjacked At St. Kieran Church Lot In Chicago Heights
A 59-year-old woman was carjacked Thursday night while she was in the parking lot of St. Kieran Catholic Church.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — A 59-year-old woman was carjacked in the parking lot of St. Kieran Catholic Church in Chicago Heights Thursday night.
According to police, a man with a handgun demanded the woman's keys while she was in the lot at
724 W. 195th Street at about 8:40 p.m., shoved her to the ground and then fled in her white 2011 Dodge minivan. He headed east.

Witnesses told police that they saw the man drive into the parking lot with other people in a small, dark-colored car. That car, too, drove off eastbound. Police said they searched the area for suspects but did not find them. The woman was not injured and declined medical help.
The suspect is described as a black man who was wearing a gray hoodie.
