2018 Coaster Challenge Ambassador Darien-Resident, Bryce Giron

Meet Bryce Giron the 2018 Coaster Challenge Ambassador from Darien Illinois

Bryce has been a Special Olympics athlete for the past 5 years. In this time, Bryce has competed in the all-around for men gymnastics; this includes high bar, pommel horse, rings, parallel bars, vault, and floor. Bryce joined the Elite Stars gymnastics team when he was 8 years old. Since then he has competed at the local and state level – he advanced to State Summer Games his very first year of competition.

For Bryce, being a Special Olympics athlete means getting to compete in a sport he loves with people who support him and inspire him to work even harder. More recently, it has meant the opportunity to work on his public speaking skills in a safe environment and finding his place in a more public setting. Bryce loves to talk to and meet people, so being the 2018 Coaster Challenge Ambassador has been a perfect opportunity to do both.

This is Bryce’s first year participating in the Coaster Challenge. One of Bryce’s favorite Special Olympics memories is riding the Mardi Gras Hangover on Media Day at Six Flags Great America. He loved especially riding with Marcus Leshock of WGN-TV!
