Abe Lincoln Helps Pardon Turkey At Indian Prairie Public Library

Bring the kids to watch a turkey get pardoned and hear Abe Lincoln share some tales on Nov. 22.

DARIEN, IL — Kids can watch a turkey get pardoned from becoming Thanksgiving dinner at a special event at Indian Prairie Public Library. The Turkey Pardoning will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22 and the President will be there to share some words of wisdom. President Abe Lincoln, that is.

Lincoln will make a special appearance to share stories and educate children about how and why America chose to observe Thanksgiving as a national holiday during his presidency. With the turkey and Abe Lincoln on hand, it will be a great opportunity to snap pics of your kids.

For more information on the Turkey Pardoning, visit the Indian Prairie Public Library website.
