Theft
- A Darien resident reported that several packages containing cellphones were stolen from the lobby of 7525 Nantucket Drive. The unknown suspect stole 10 cellphones from those packages, police said, resulting in a total loss of $1,850. The incident took place Jan. 9.

- A 17-year-old boy was charged with retail theft Jan. 10 when he was caught trying to steal over-the-counter medication from a Walmart at 2189 75th treet. He was ultimately released with a court date pending in Downers Grove.
Hit-and-run
- Someone driving a silver Ford SUV rear-ended the bumper of someone’s vehicle just before 6 p.m. Jan. 11. The offender fled from the scene.
Traffic violation

- Caleb Neisen, 23, of Downers Grove was arrested Jan. 9 for driving with a suspended license and not having a rear registration light. He was processed and released, and his court date is pending.
