There is a growing movement to change our pristine suburban lawns back into thriving habitats for wildlife. What are some of the things we need to consider to be able to attract, and keep our wild, and non-wild neighbors happy?

Kim’s love of nature will inspire a greater understanding of local wildlife and show us how to bring nature back into our gardens.

Kim taught for 20 years in the Education program at Brookfield Zoo and holds a University level Master Naturalist certificate.

We will start the evening with a brief history of the long term partnership between Darien Garden Club and Indian Prairie Public Library. We will introduce you to our award winning club and all of the programs and outreach that we do in the community. We will also inspire you to visit and enjoy the library's Prairie Patch which includes a Monarch Waystation. Find out how IPPL is already doing their part to maintain habitat in their own backyard.
