Burger Chain Coming To Darien This Fall
The restaurant is expected to bring 30 jobs to town.
DARIEN, IL — Wayback Burgers is planning to open a restaurant in Darien this fall, the Connecticut-based chain announced Thursday.
The restaurant is planned for the Darien Towne Center at 2445 75th St., according to a news release. It will be in the spot of an old sushi restaurant.
The local franchise will be the second Wayback resturant in Illinois. The other is in Oakbrook Terrace.

Wayback Burgers offers a variety of cooked-to-order burgers as a single patty or double patties, the news release said. The restaurant is expected to bring 30 jobs.
“We believe the Darien area is a great fit for the brand, and we look forward to bringing excellent service, a fun dining atmosphere and high-quality burgers, fries, shakes and much more to our local guests in Darien and beyond," John Stack, the local franchisee, said in the news release.

Wayback Burgers is in 31 states, with the chain saying it is expanding its footprint nationwide. The company was founded in 1991.
Earlier this month, Darien Alderman Eric Gustafson said he contacted an executive with the Lexington, Kentucky-based A&W Restaurants chain to consider opening a location in the old Steak 'n Shake at 2019 W. 75th St. He said the company expressed interest.
