Darien Bar Burglary, Retail Theft: Cops
Man broke the bar's slot machine money box during break-in, report says.
DARIEN, IL — The Darien Police Department released its latest police blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
- Dry Dock Inn, 1125 N. Frontage Road, was the site of a break-in at 4 a.m. Sunday. A nearby resident in the 8400 block of Captons Lane saw two or three people leave a car and run across the street to Dry Dock Inn. The car later left, heading onto Cass Avenue. A west door to Dry Dock Inn appeared to be opened by a wedge tool. A man broke an interior glass door and slot machine money box. The damage was estimated at $2,000.
- Darius Didzgalvis, 48, of Darien, was arrested at 11 a.m. Saturday on a Darien retail theft warrant. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Emilio Telles, 21, of Joliet, was cited at 8:30 p.m. April 6 in the Walmart parking lot, 2189 75th St., on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and disobeying a traffic control device. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A mailbox was damaged between noon and 3:30 p.m. April 8 in the 7600 block of Warwick Avenue. The loss was about $100.
- Kyle Young, 32, of Lockport, was arrested about 11 p.m. Friday at Lemont and Cheese roads on charges of DUI, driving with a revoked license, possession of open alcohol by a driver and failure to yield when turning left. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Richard Hodges, 32, of Baraboo, Wis., was cited about 3 a.m. Sunday in the 7300 block of Cass Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
