Darien Collecting Branches This Summer

Residents are asked to stack the branches neatly by the curb.

DARIEN, IL — Darien will be conducting free branch pickup June 22-26, according to a news release. To help keep the streets clean and crews on schedule, stack the branches neatly by the curb on Sunday, June 21, the city says.

Here is what the city is requesting: Only tree branches of up to six inches in diameter will be accepted. Do not tie the branches, put them in garbage cans or stack them any higher than two feet. Branches should be stacked with the cut limbs facing the roadway.

All other yard waste, such as grass clippings and flowers, should be disposed of through city's yard waste program with Advanced Disposal. Visit Darien's website for the 2020 branch pickup schedule and more information.
