Darien DUI Suspect, Wallet Theft: Cops

A Darien man faces two counts of DUI after being stopped for having no license plate light, report says.

DARIEN, IL — Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

DUI

  • Adam Martin, 42, of Darien, was arrested about 8 p.m. April 1 in the 800 block of Plainfield Road on two counts of DUI, driving with a revoked license and no license plate light. He was stopped because of the light issue. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Wallet theft

  • A person dropped a wallet about 1:30 p.m. April 1 while leaving Speedway gas station, 7502 Cass Ave. The station's video showed a woman retrieving it. The loss was $566.

Damage

  • The front bumper of a car was cracked by someone between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. March 29 in the 7300 block of Cass Avenue.

Warrant

  • David Rojas, 25, of Woodridge, was arrested about 5 a.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of 87th Street on a Will County warrant. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Driving violations

  • Pedro Moreno, 31, of Chicago, was cited about 7 p.m. April 2 on 83rd Street at Beller Drive on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. He was going 47 mph in a 30 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Malcolm Vann, 47, of Chicago, was cited about 3:30 a.m. Saturday near Cass Avenue and Plainfield Road on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. He was going 55 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
