Darien Lifts Overnight Parking Ban During Holiday Weekend
Darien has temporarily lifted its overnight parking ban until Monday Nov. 27.

DARIEN, IL — City officials have temporarily lifted Darien's overnight parking ban to make Thanksgiving weekend easier for residents. From Thursday Nov. 23 to Monday Nov. 27, residents can park on streets in Darien from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.
Street parking is typically banned from 2 am. to 6 a.m., so this is a rare exception. A post on the city website warns residents to keep their vehicles locked and to keep valuables out of sight.
Other parking restrictions will still be in effect during the temporary overnight ban lift.
