Darien Police Department Hiring Paid, Part-Time Community Officer

Darien is hiring a position in the city's police department, officials announced Friday.

The Darien Police Department is looking for a part-time community service officer. The position is 19 hours per week and won't include additional benefits. Starting pay for the position, which won't require swearing-in, is $18.70 per hour.

The community officer position will include one weekday shift from 1-4 p.m. and shifts Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., excluding holidays.
