Darien Residents Should Prepare for Evening Storms

Darien, IL — Darien residents are asked to clear debris blocking storm sewers in front of their homes in preparation for potentially severe weather this evening.

City crews help by cleaning catch basins and storm drains in the streets, according to the city.

Residents are reminded they can report power outages and view outage statuses on ComEd's website.

A hazardous weather outlook and flash flood watch has been issued for much of northern Illinois, including the Chicago suburbs, as strong thunderstorms are expected to hit the area.
