Darien Runner Finishes the Boston Marathon

Darien, IL - A local runner have accomplished the daunting task of finishing the Boston Marathon.

On Monday, April 18, more than 30,000 runners took off from Hopkinton and traveled 26.2 miles to Boston.

Jessica Sokolowski was the fastest and only Darien runner, with a finish time of 03:46:39, according to unofficial results.

A pair of Ethiopians were crowned 2016 Boston Marathon champions.
