District #61 Superintendent Offers Coffee For Conversations
District Superintendent Dr. Robert Carlo is holding monthly meetings at local dining spots to discuss parents' concerns and questions.

DARIEN, IL — Darien School District #61 is trying a different approach to getting input from parents and community members: taking them out for a cup of coffee. The Superintendent's Advisory Board is holding hour-long monthly meetings at dining spots in Darien to give residents a chance to discuss concerns and ask questions about their school district.
In a statement on the District #61 website, Superintendent Dr. Robert M. Carlo wrote, "As Superintendent I am looking for ways to share information about your schools and get your input on a regular basis. One way to do this is for you to: “Let me buy you a cup of coffee.”
The next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 8.

The meeting dates are as follows:
- Dec. 8 at the Dunkin Donuts, 7516 S. Cass, Suite 5B.
- Jan. 12 at Chuck's Southern Comfort Café, 8025 Cass Ave.
- Feb. 9 at McDonald's, 809 Plainfield Rd.
- March 9 at TBD
- April 13 at TBD
