Donate Food For Fine Forgiveness: Indian Prairie Public Library

Darien residents can get a break on overdue book fines by donating nonperishable food items.

DARIEN, IL — Darien residents who have fines for overdue books can get those pesky fees off their minds by donating to a good cause this holiday season. Indian Prairie Public Library's Food for Fines program will remove $1 in fines for every nonperishable food or personal care item donated to help families in need.

Donations can be dropped off from Saturday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 10 during regular library hours. The library will not accept expired or open items.
