Drug Deal Outside Darien Restaurant?
Police say they witness a "hand-to-hand" transaction.
DARIEN, IL — A Darien police officer earlier this month saw a woman outside a Darien restaurant make a "hand-to-hand" transaction from her car with a man in another car, police said.
The man, identified as 21-year-old Jonell Lewis of Woodridge, was arrested on charges of felony marijuana possession, driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, obstructing identification and disobeying a traffic control device.
The incident occurred about 3 p.m. March 1 outside McDonald's, 809 Plainfield Road, the report said. Police said Lewis had 2½ ounces of marijuana in his possession.
