Fire Department Workshop and Burn Demo to Highlight Homes' 'Life-Safety' Features
A Tuesday educational workshop will teach realtors how to elevate for-sale homes' safety features.

The Clarendon Hills Fire Department is inviting area real estate agents to a workshop that will teach them to elevate for-sale homes' safety features; specifically, sprinkler systems.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency-funded educational program is set for 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at the Clarendon Hills Police Station, 448 Park Ave.
"Nine out of 10 structure fire deaths occur in the home," officials said in a community alert. "Since real estate agents play an influential role in marketing the features of homes, the fire department is using this event to teach them how to highlight the life-safety benefits of fire sprinklers for their home buyers."
