Hit-and-Run, Stolen Van: Darien Police Blotter

The following incidents appeared on the Darien police blotter throughout the past week.
Hit and Run
- Around 3:17 p.m. on Nov. 11, someone in a green jeep rear-ended another vehicle and drove off without stopping. The accident took place at the intersection of 75th St. and Cass Ave.

- A Darien resident living on the 1200 block of Iroquois reported that three separate times throughout the past two months, someone has left small plastic bags containing pet waste on their sidewalk and in their front yard. Nov. 11, the resident reported that similar plastic bags were strewn across their front lawn and on their bushes, this time containing old food.
- Someone living on the 1000 block of Park Crest reported that their house had been “egged” Nov. 12. Eggs hit their roof, garage door and vehicle. The total value of the damage is not known.
Car theft
- A 2001 Honda Odyssey van was stolen from a driveway on the 900 block of Belair Dr. between 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 and 5 a.m. on Nov. 13. The owner reported that a set of keys might have been left in the van.
Car burglaries

- A resident living on Beller Dr. said it appeared that someone had gotten into their car between Nov. 13 and Nov. 14, though nothing appears to have been stolen. The car was unlocked.
- Another resident living on Hillside Ln. reported a similar incident — someone entered their unlocked car between Nov. 13 and Nov. 14, but nothing was missing.
