Indian Prairie Library is Celebrating Women’s History Month
Enjoy Programs and Book Recommendations.

In honor of Women's History Month, Indian Prairie Public Library has programs for adults and Mid-Kids. Register by clicking the links below or browse the full calendar to see all available programs. The library’s expert staff also created lists of fiction and non-fiction titles about women. Library cardholders can place holds on these titles and use the drive-up window to get materials.

Families with children ages 7 and under.
Participants can celebrate the month by choosing an important woman from history or from their own life to learn about. After reading some stories in celebration of women, kids will get a chance to share their drawings, costumes, or some information they’ve learned about their chosen woman.

Mini Mid-Kids Wonder Women - Then & Now
Thursday, Mar. 18, 4 p.m.
Grades 1-3
Participants will use research skills to uncover many amazing and wonderful achievements from women throughout history. They also will share the story of the amazing women in their own life and family.
Monday, Mar. 22, 7 p.m.
Adults
The role of First Lady comes with no job description, no pay, and no written requirements. Yet America's presidential spouses have wielded great influence, and have always been subject to intense public scrutiny. Popular presenter Leslie Goddard explores which First Ladies have rated highest to lowest with historians.
