Celebrate Abraham Lincoln's birthday with Illinois author of The Superlative A. Lincoln: Poems about Our 16th President, Eileen R. Meyer.
Meyer shares fun readings, history, and answers questions from attendees, via Zoom. After registering, pick up a President's Day activity bag with games and projects on the U.S. Presidents, including Abraham Lincoln.

Make a silly hat to show off at this event as we read the book Do You Have a Hat? by Eileen Spinelli, and learn about some famous figures whose hats have gone down in history. Answering the Call: Artists of the Harlem Renaissance

Between the world wars, African American artists produced an extraordinary output of painting, sculpture, and photography answering a call to action from Howard University Professor Alain Locke. Diverse in style, these artists often told the story of important events in American history, including The Great Migration. Art historian Jeff Mishur of Art Excursions discusses the artists associated with this movement.

The Long Shadow Movie Screening and Live Director Q&A
