Earth Day Teen Movie Club: I Am Greta

Earth Day is Apr. 22. Join in an early celebration and watch the 2020 documentary I Am Greta, a film about the world-famous climate activist Greta Thunberg.
The film chronicles Thunberg's rise to prominence, explores her role in organizing the modern climate advocacy movement, and grants insight into her unique ability to speak truth to power over what many consider an existential threat to humanity. Afterwards, join in a brief discussion about the film, and how to engage in the community to create change.

Darien Garden Club iNaturalist and City Nature Challenge

Gardening enthusiasts and curious observers can learn from members of the Darien Garden Club about the iNaturalist app, which can be used to identify local plants.
Participants will also learn more about how joining others from over 350 cities around the world for the City Nature Challenge. Challenge participants will share their observations of wild plants and animals in the Chicago Metro area from Apr. 30-May 3. Observations become data that helps scientists better understand and protect nature for all of us. A Q&A will follow after the presentation. This virtual webinar is presented in collaboration with the Darien Garden Club.
