Indian Prairie Library Unveils New Children's Space

LittleTown looks like a town or neighborhood with six imaginative play centers, and will be unveiled July 28.

DARIEN, IL — The newest space in the library will be unveiled on Saturday, July 28. LittleTown, the new family center in the kids and teens department, is a space for children from birth through kindergarten to explore and learn through play and sensory activity.

The unveiling will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. According to the library, LittleTown looks like a town or neighborhood with six imaginative play centers: a kitchen, a closet, a shop, a construction site, a train station, and a park. The area will also include seating for adults and families.

The ribbon cutting will be held at 10:30 a.m., followed by neighborhood crafts. According to the library, there will also be a storytime drop-in and a performance from the Animal Farm Band.
